Jean's Holiday Homes

I've lived in Mulberry House, Beckford for 26 years. Mulberry Cottage was originally a double garage which I converted after my husband's death in 1987 to a holiday let. My two children, namely Charlotte and Rupert, and I, together with their grandmother, then spent many happy holidays staying in Welsh cottages hence my acquisition of Dingle Cottage in 1993 when staying in nearby Newgale.

I also owned an apartment and small villa near Carvoiero, Portugal but when the children outgrew the buckets and spades, it was their suggestion to sell these and replace with a ski location instead. My reply was, "but I can't ski!". My brother-in-law owns a chalet near Le Chinaillon and with his help, I bought the apartment B10 Les Pistes du Soleil off plan, which Charlotte suggested we called 'Penny Black' as their father was a philatelist (I have sometimes been called Penny or Mrs Black!). Then I had the challenge of learning to ski having passed my half century - it's never too late!!

I hope you will enjoy sharing these properties with me.
